Hyundai Tucson Featured on The Walking Dead

There aren't many reasons to associate oneself with zombies. Unless, of course, you're Hyundai, and a main plot point of one of today's hottest TV shows requires a getaway car. In that case, you definitely want to associate yourself with The Walking Dead. This season's premier episode of the AMC drama prominently featured a 2012 Hyundai Tucson amid the wreckage of the, shall we say, undead.

The apocalyptic and often gory world surrounding the main (human) characters pushes them to their physical and mental limits. And in one such scenario, a love triangle develops, forcing one character to decide to try to survive on his own. In need of a getaway car, and trapped on a highway leading out of Atlanta, Shane chooses none other than a brand new (but unfortunately dusty) Hyundai Tucson And he's in luck too: the keys are still in the ignition and, unlike most abandoned vehicles on the highway, this one starts right up. And even though the radio only plays a loop of the emergency broadcast system, rumor has it that could become a major plot point later in the season.

That said, we could be seeing more of the Tucson in later episodes of The Walking Dead. Pretty cool, right? We certainly think so. In the meantime, you can take a closer look at this particular getaway car, or any of the other new Hyundai models, by simply stopping in to see us at Gates Hyundai, 6000 Atwood Drive Richmond, KY 40475.
