3 Fishing Spots You Can Drive to Near Richmond, KY

Richmond, KY is a beautiful city that offers its residents a lot. From relaxing parks to heart-pumping outdoor fitness facilities, there is plenty to enjoy in the area. One of our favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors is to fish. Today, we're looking at our favorite fishing spots that you can drive to from the city. 1. Fort Boonesborough State Park One of our favorite spots to fish within driving distance of Richmond is Fort Boonesborough State Park at 4375 Boonesboro Rd. From this state park, you can access the Kentucky River and fish for catfish, bass, and an abundance of bluegill. If you're new to fishing or revisiting the pastime for the first time as an adult, you can rent a fishing pole from the grocery store at the campground. 2. Natural Bridge State Resort Park You also can't go wrong casting a line at Natural Bridge State Resort Park at 2135 Natural Bridge Rd. Natural Bridge State Resort Park is home to Mill Creek Lake, a beautiful lake that is packed to the gills with black bullhead, channel catfish, and rainbow trout. You can also catch green and longear sunfish, bluegill, black crappie, and bass. However, you are limited to keeping three 15" largemouth bass daily. Besides the fishing, we love Natural Bridge State Resort Park for its relaxing sky lift. This activity is available from the first weekend of April through the last weekend in October. The lift ends 600 feet short of Natural Bridge. 3. General Burnside Island State Park Finally, we cannot recommend General Burnside Island State Park at 8801 S. Hwy 27 enough. With a Kentucky fishing license, you can fish for smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, striped bass, and crappie. However, you can only keep crappie up to 10" long. You are limited to 15" in length for smallmouth and largemouth bass. You can keep two striped bass that are up to two feet long. Besides the delicious fish that can be caught here, there is a lot to love about this state park. Boating is another great thing to do here. Next to the park, there is a marina that offers rental slips and several types of boats for rent. You can launch a fishing boat from the six-lane boat launch ramp and spend an enjoyable day on the lake rather than on the shoreline. There are lots of great bodies of water to fish from in the Richmond area. However, they are inaccessible without dependable transportation, like a 2023 Hyundai Venue. If you are displeased by the lack of dependability your current vehicle gives you, visit us today at Gates Hyundai to take one for a test drive.

4 Standout Features of the 2022 Hyundai Accent

The small yet stylish 2022 Hyundai Accent is a zippy little number that will get you where you need to go. This compact sedan is designed to transport you safely to any event or adventure. Read on to discover what we think makes this vehicle stand out from the crowd. Sleek Interior Design The 2022 Accent is designed to be intuitive to use and relaxing to ride in. It's laid out well, and we love the surprisingly spacious seats. Though this vehicle looks compact, the seats are roomy and comfortable. They give good back support and encourage a healthy posture, so this ride is well-designed for short commutes and longer trips. The front seats are heated for cold wintry days; for summer, open up the roof and let in the sunshine! When they get going, small cars like the 2022 Accent tend to be noisy in the cabin. However, we love driving in the Accent because its interior remains quiet and relaxing even in wind and rain. Its solid build also makes for very little rattling on bumpy roads, so sit back, relax, and enjoy a leisurely conversation as you cruise to the office. Great Fuel Economy With gas prices creeping ever higher, we love to find a vehicle as efficient as the Hyundai Accent. On average, the Accent gets around 33 miles per gallon in the city and up to 41 miles per gallon on the highway. For the price of this car, these numbers are almost unbelievable. Because there is no all-wheel drive option in any of the 2022 Accent models, they can all achieve this fuel efficiency. Terrific Touchscreen Technology These days, it is becoming increasingly important to have your smartphone constantly at your fingertips. Hyundai understands the importance of keeping in touch, so each new model has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to keep you connected while traveling. The 7-inch touchscreen infotainment center offers driver assistance and many safety features, including Forward Collision-Avoidance, Hillstart Assist Control, and blind spot assist. Fantastic Warranty Coverage Hyundai is renowned for its excellent warranties, and the 2022 Accent is no exception with a 10-year or 100,000-mile powertrain warranty. If you opt for the limited comprehensive warranty, you will be covered for five years or 60,000 miles. Because these cars are extremely reliable, it is unlikely that you will find yourself in the shop for warranty repairs at least for the first few years after purchase. If you've read enough and want to take one of these exciting vehicles for a test drive, or if you have more questions about the specs of the latest Hyundai Accent, visit us at Gates Hyundai and we'd be happy to assist you. We have excellent options available for all of your lifestyle and budget requirements.
